Taste of China ( 9 days )
Day 1: Beijing
Today you land in Beijing and are met by our representative and are then taken to your hotel - The Oriental Cultural Hotel 4*. Over-night in Beijing.
Day 2: Beijing ( B/L/D)
An early start to your day today.After breakfast at your hotel we will go for a morning visit to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. In the afternoon we visit the Summer Palace Peking Duck. Over-night in Beijing.
Day 3: Beijing (B/L/D)
Today after breakfast we will go for a full day excursion to the Great Wall of China and Ming Tombs. Over-night in Beijing.
Day 4: Beijing (B/L)
After breakfast at your Hotel we take a morning visit to the Temple of Heaven. There is then time for you to spend at your leisure. In the afternoon we take a soft birth train to Chongqing.
Day 5: Chongqing (D)
We arrive in the afternoon and we transfer to the pier and board the Yangtze River Cruise Ship.
Day 6: Yangtza River Cruise Ship (B/L/D)
Morning shore excursion to the City of the Ghost-Fengdu. Fengdu is believed to be the place where every soul is judged after death. Images in temples of several religious beliefs have been warning people of misdeeds for centuries since the Tong Dynasty. Return to the ship for lunch.
Day 7: Cruise (B/L/D)
- 8.30 - Sail in the 1st gorge of the Yangtze River Qutang Gorge 8km.
- 10.00 - Sail in the 2nd gorge of the Yangtze River, Wu Gorge 45km.
- 13.00 -17.30- Shore excursion of the Shennong lesser gorges.
- 17.30 - Sail in the west section of the 3rd Gorge of the Yangtze River, Xiling Gorge.
- 20.00 - Pass through the 5 stage ship locks.
Day 8: Yichand/Beijing ( B/L)
- 8.00- 10.00- Shore excursion to the tree gorges dam site.
- 10.00- Sail in the East section of the Xiling Gorge
- 13.00- Arrive at Yichang and fly to beijing.
On arrival you will be transferred to the Oriental Cultural Hotel 4*.
Day 9: Beijing (B)
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel you will then be taken to the airport for your flight back home, filled with memories and a sense of adventure.
